ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Michigan State University's Environmental Management System (EMS) is based on the internationally recognized model of ISO 14001. The EMS program has been implemented following the principals in the EMS Environmental Policy. The EMS is designed to help ensure that environmental affairs are managed efficiently, and is the foundation for working toward environmental stewardship.The Phase I of the EMS includes five departments on campus committed to achieving measurable goals.The EMS elements reference in this document will change as needed to improve consistency and conformance with standards.
